Earlier this month, the steering committee for the Marshall County Crossroads Stellar Project announced they would submit an application for this year’s award opportunity. As most of you know, the county submitted an application last year and was selected as one of six finalists to submit a regional list of projects for the program. Unfortunately only two regional collaborations were selected and Marshall County wasn’t one of them.
After meeting in February with representatives from OCRA, the state agency that over sees the program the committee now knows what improvements need to be made to the application and projects to increase the chance of being selected.
Since Marshall County is moving forward with a 2019 Stellar Communities application the committee is seeking community input. The Stellar committee is offering residents of Marshall County an opportunity to let them know what is most important to the citizens and their community. The committee has created a 2 minutes survey that can be found at http://tiny.cc/MCMovingForward.
Community input is request to be complete by Monday, March 25. Participating in the survey will help them plan for the future!
