Responder runWesleyan Church on South Michigan Road will host their 5th Annual Responder 5K Run after receiving approval from the Marshall County Commissioner to restrict traffic on Michigan Road and 12th Road.

Monday morning Pastor Ollie Dongell told the commissioners they are planning on hosting the 5K the second Saturday after the Blueberry Festival, September 14th.  Runners will travel south on the shoulder of Michigan Road to 12th Road where they will head west past the Plymouth Speedway to the railroad tracks.  At that point runners will turn around and run back to the church.

It was noted that emergency services will assist with the run by helping to control traffic while the run is taking place.

Pastor Ollie said last year was their best fundraising yet.  They were able to donate $2,000 to each department: Plymouth Police, Sheriff’s Department and Plymouth Fire.
