WRM_Kennedy'sKitchenSlurp your shamrock shakes, wear your lucky green socks, and join John Kennedy’s fantastic band for a festive night full of Irish folk music as Kennedy’s Kitchen cuts loose at the Wild Rose Moon music hall on March 16th at 8.00 p.m. to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day!  Originating in South Bend, the traditional Celtic band has played across the globe, averaging 80 shows each year.  The band consists of John Kennedy (vocals & guitar), Liam Ladewski (Whistles), Chris O’Brien (banjo, mandolin, vocals), Jacob Turner (bodhran), Theresa Kubiak (whistles), and Nathan Wadell (bass).

John Kennedy, the founder of the band, is often noted for his songwriting abilities and his rich baritone voice. A veteran musician, John has an extensive array of achievements including the founding of the band Seamaisin and being awarded a silver and gold medal in the All-Ireland Feadh. He has been a steady supporter of the Irish music scene at Fiddler’s Hearth in South Bend since its inception.

Kennedy’s Kitchen has appeared at Wild Rose Moon a number of times and each appearance has packed the house.  Michigan Irish Music Festival Entertainment Director, Tom Schaub, has stated, “To hear Kennedy’s Kitchen is to experience the heart of music, the culture of the songs being handed from musician to musician, the beauty of melody untouched by gimmick…”
