Jail_substance abuse program 2-28-19Ward Byers, Director of Operations for the Marshall County Community Corrections announced the successful completion of a treatment program by several inmates in the Marshall County Jail.

Wednesday was the first step in a long journey of Recovery for 7 inmates at the Marshall County Jail who completed the Substance Education Program. Program Facilitator and Community Corrections Case Manager, Josh Pitts leads the group weekly providing Evidence Based substance abuse education to the male inmate population.

Female inmates also receive the same programming weekly by Community Corrections Recovery Coach, Dawn Quimby.

Director Byers stated, “These programs in the County Jail are an important start to their recovery”.

 

The Marshall County Jail Treatment Program is funded with a grant through the Indiana Department of Correction.
