MugSHot_steven riceSaturday night, February 23rd near 10:30  Sgt. Nicholas Laffoon of Marshall County Police Department responded with several other officers to a complaint of a vehicle that had run off of the roadway at 4B Road and Plymouth LaPorte Trail.

After contacting the driver of the vehicle and performing an investigation, probable cause was found that the driver, 23 year old Steven Rice of North Liberty, was under the influence of alcohol.

Rice was transported to the Marshall County Police Department, where he failed a certified chemical test. He was then lodged at the Marshall County Jail for Operating a Vehicle with a BAC of .08% or more with a prior charge.
