Due to the Winter Weather Advisory and the confidences County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters has of the weather statement sent out by the Nation Weather Service, his employees will take to the roads early Wednesday morning.
Peters said, “The highway department has scheduled their start time for 4:00 AM.” He continued, “With what is forecasted, and the uncertainties of temperatures rising above freezing by earlier morning, pre-treating or starting before road surfaces are snow covered or freezing precipitation falls should help morning travel conditions.”
Peters explained that with material on the county roadways before the freezing precipitation starts should help keep it from freezing to road surfaces and have more of a slush conditions for the morning commute.
