Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters said he will be closing down Maple Road from 11B to North Michigan on Friday, February 8th.
The road closure is due to the fact that NIPSCO will be doing an emergency directional bore under the road at the curve and railroad crossing for a small gas leak. The closure will be from 8:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. If it looks like the project will be extended pass 3:30 NIPSCO will contact the highway department to extended closure time.
Subdivisions will also have closure signs posted to inform traffic of the closure.
Superintendent Peters asks drivers to please make other arrangement and avoid travel on this section of road Friday during the hours of 8:30 to 3:30.
