Marshall COunty Museum FrontLinda Rippy, Executive Director of the Marshall County Museum presented her quarterly report to the County Commissioners on Monday.

She encouraged members to take a few minutes to check-out the museum’s new website and said it is 99 percent complete.   https://mchistoricalsociety.org/

The 2018 statistics for the Marshall County Museum show 10,738 visitors with 1,458 coming from outside the county.   She also noted the 4,374 volunteer hours and ABLE employee hours at 1,460.

Rippy was also excited to announce the annual dinner on Friday, April 10th.  This year they are highlighting sports in Marshall County and Steve Yoder will be the guest speaker.

On a side-note, County Commissioner Mike Delp said he has been working with the museum and the City of Plymouth on some sidewalk improvements in front of the building.  Delp said he spoke with Mayor Senter about the condition of the sidewalk and offered to have the county pay for the materials if the city would provide the labor.  He estimated there is about 30 feet of sidewalk in front of the museum that needs to be replaced.  Delp said he would contact the mayor and try to get t project scheduled for this spring or early summer.
