OWI_Drinking and DrivingOn Friday, January 4th, Plymouth Police Officer Chris Miller conducted a traffic stop at East Jefferson and Polk Streets.  After a short investigation 34 year old Mathew R. Alaniz of Plymouth was transported to the Marshall County Jail for Operating While Intoxicated .15% or above and Driving While Suspended with a prior infraction.  He was held on a $4,500 cash bond.

 

On Saturday, February 5th, about 10:20 at night, Plymouth Police Officer Jerrid Arnold responded to the report of a driver that was slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle at the Murphy’s USA gas station.

The driver was identified as 57 year old Michael M. Tomblin of Tyner.  After an investigation Mr. Tomblin was arrested for Operating a motor vehicle While Intoxicated (OWI). He was incarcerated at the Marshall County Jail on a $1,500 cash bond.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
