Tree lighting2018_1Mayor SantaLaura Mann, Promotion of the City Coordinator was very pleased with the Parade of Lights and Christmas Tree lighting event on Saturday night.

This year the parade had 21 units.  She said some of the participants were new this year and some are regulars that return each year for the event.  The theme this year was “The Music of the Holidays”.

tree lighting2018_OzingaThis was the third year the event was hosted on Shop Small Saturday instead of the Friday night after Thanksgiving.  The idea to move it to Saturday was to help the local downtown merchants.  Discover Plymouth hosted a scavenger hunt during the day and the Marshall County Museum opened extended hours and had the trains running upstairs for the families to enjoy.
