Vietnam Moving WallDuring Monday’s Plymouth Park Board meeting, Superintendent Mike Hite told members he has meeting with Mike Boys and Mike Delp on the visiting Vietnam Memorial Wall.

Last week, a representative from the company was in town and reviewed the potential site near the sledding hill in Centennial Park and a location at River Park Square.  While no determination was made, the site at River Park square is acceptable and he noted that with the restroom facility close and the lighting of the park it is a more favorable location.

Fundraising effort are currently underway by a local committee.  It is anticipated that $15,000 to $25,000 will be needed to cover all the requirements.  Current plans call for the Vietnam Memorial Wall to be in Plymouth and Marshall County on September 11, 2019.

Park Board President, Dave Morrow wanted to make it clear that the park department is supportive of the project, this is not a park project.

NOTE:  Wednesday morning about 9:30 Mike Boys and Mike Hite will be our guests on the What’s Your Opinion Show to discuss the project.
