The Marshall County Commissioners approved a re-zoning request of Hensley Fabricating during their meeting Monday.

Ty Adley, County Plan Director told the commissioners that Hensley plans to expand their operations across the street from their current facility in Old Tip Town.

The property is currently zoned A1 for agriculture and needed to be moved to L1 light industrial.  The plan is to add an office center and manufacturing building.

Adley said the Marshall County Plan Commission unanimously approved the re-zoning. There was one person who spoke against the re-zoning concerned with the loss of agricultural land.  Adley noted that the Hensleys are conservationists.

A public hearing was held and no one spoke for or against the request.

The commissioners approved the ordinance on first reading and then suspended to rules and passed it on 2nd and 3rd reading.
