The Deadline to File for the November General Election is noon this Friday, August 24th according to the Marshall County Election Board.
Tuesday morning, Deb VanDeMark told members that late Monday, Jennifer Porter filed as an Argos School Board Candidate in District 1, Town-Walnut Township. As of Tuesday morning, the Argos Community School Board, District 2, At large seat does not have a candidate.
Other available candidate spots include: Argos Community School Board, District 3-At Large, Bremen Public School Board, District II-Outside of Town, Culver Community School Board, District 3, John Glenn School Board, Liberty Township, John Glenn School Board, Polk Township, Union-North United School Board, Union Township, and Lake of the Woods Sewer District, (2 seats available).
A viable school board candidate must live within the school district and within the applicable boundaries on the school board map. To file for school board candidacy, a minimum of ten signatures from community members who live in that School District are mandatory.
