PHS Alumni Honor Gantz, Class of 1938 and Oldest Living Alumni, Margaret Markley

On Friday the Plymouth High School Alumni Association held the All Alumni In The Park event at River Park Square as part of the Mayor’s Month of Music.  Jan Boos Beam chairman of the committee honored Bernice Dewelius Gantz, class of 1938 who just celebrated her 99^th birthday last week.  “Grandma Gantz” was celebrating her 80^th class reunion

Bernice Gantz was accompanied by one of her sons, Ron Gantz class of 1964 and Ron’s daughters Ronna Gantz Sizzle class of ’86 and Gina Gantz Young class of ’91.

Also honored by Jan Beam on Friday night was the Margaret Lamborn Markley family who is the oldest living Plymouth High School Alumni at 101.  Margarte who is currently in Miller’s Merry Manor was unable to attend due to medical reasons.   Flowers were presented to her son Richard Markley on her behalf.

The PHS Alumni Association portion of the evening concluded with Mark Neidig Sr. singing the song he sang for his Plymouth High School graduation in 1978, from his recently released CD “Times of Your Life: Forty Years Later”
