Adam Parkhouse, Media Relations Director for INDOT Northwest updated WTCA on the Bridge Rehabilitation project currently underway on U.S.30 in Marshall County.

The contract for the bridge rehabilitation project was awarded to LaPorte Construction Company at a cost of $3,181,870.42.

Currently the left (inside lanes) of U.S. 30 are closed in each direction while LaPorte Construction puts in the traffic crossover. Once that is complete the westbound side of the bridge will be closed with one lane flowing in each direction on the east side of the bridge. Work on the westbound side of the bridge is expected to be finished in November. Then, the bridge will reopen through the winter and in the spring of 2019 work will start on the eastbound side of U.S. 30 with traffic flowing in one lane in each direction on the newly-built westbound bridge.
