City HallThe Plymouth Redevelopment Commission reorganized after Mayor Mark Senter read a letter of resignation from Dan Tyree.  Tyree, who served as President of the commission said he recently moved outside the city limits disqualifying him from being a member of the commission.

Craig Hopple, Assistant Principal at Lincoln Junior High School was appointed by the mayor to fill Tyree’s seat.

Since Tyree was the President the commission reorganized.  Mike Miley was voted President, Tom Pedavoli was voted in as Vice President and Nancy Felde will serve as Secretary.

Commission members we updated on the City Hall renovation project by City Attorney Sean Surrisi.  While progress is being made the plan to relocate back into City Hall August 1st will not happen.  It appears the move won’t happen until September.

Surrisi said the upstairs is beginning to take shape with finishing work being done.  The painting is being completed in the Clerk’s office but the flooring won’t be down until mid August.

The new stairs are not in and no firm numbers on the changes for them have been presented.  Once the changes are presented and the cost, currently estimated to be $8,000 the Redevelopment Commission will work with RQAW to determine who will pay the extra cost.

City Clerk Treasurer Jeannie Xaver asked if there were penalties for not completing on time.  The City Attorney said he wasn’t sure and would look at the contract and report at the August meeting.
