Plymouth_Airport_buildingThe Plymouth Board of Aviation Commissioners at their meeting  Tuesday night discussed the possibility of purchasing the now abandoned auto repair shop which is adjacent to the airport property.  It is not clear if they can legally purchase the property or if they can fund buying the land and building.  Mark Shillington, the airport engineer and FAA liaison is investigating the possibility but no action has been taken.

Airport manager Bill Sheley reported that he had purchased a 30 gallon sprayer tank that he can use to spray the fence line.  Using that equipment will save the airport a considerable amount of money.

Sheley also reported the Culver Military Academy summer aviation school is going well although they are having difficulty with the aircraft that they are using.  Several people associated with the school are attempting to convince CMA that they should make it all year long.

Sheley also reported that the tractor power-take-off shaft has broken twice this year.  While it has been repaired, they believe that it is indicative of more major problems.
