arrested_handcuffsOn Sunday, May 20th about 20 minutes after 5 in the morning Plymouth Police Sgt. Tim Taberski observed a suspect vehicle that was involved in a battery complaint earlier in the shift.  The vehicle was in the McDonald’s drive thru.

The vehicle headed south on Michigan Street and Officer Taberski confirmed the suspect vehicle by the registration plate and initiated a traffic stop.

Patrolman Paul Stamper located the suspect of the battery complaint in the passenger’s side of the vehicle.  Officer Taberski identified the driver as 20 year old Stephon Shinholster of Elkhart.  While checking warrants on Shinholster it was learned that Elkhart County held an active warrant for his arrest.

Stephon Shinholster was placed under arrest and a small plastic baggy believed to be marijuana was located on his person. Shinholster was transported to the Marshall County Jail and charged with Possession of Marijuana and the active warrant through Elkhart County.
