PHS Smash Cancer 2018Plymouth-Bremen more than a tennis match

PLYMOUTH – The girls tennis teams from Bremen and Plymouth high schools will once again be SMASHING OUT CANCER before their match today. This year’s event has a special significance as former, long-time tennis coach, Mark Wagner, is being honored during the evening. Mark lost his battle with cancer earlier this year and both teams will be wearing purple in recognition of pancreatic cancer.  Bremen’s Megan Hershberger will be reading a letter she wrote to Coach Wags and Fayth Wagner will be smashing the first ball of the night. The Plymouth and Bremen communities are invited to come out to Mary Beth Hunter Tennis Courts in Centennial Park in Plymouth to support this event. There will be a short presentation prior to the start of the match at 4:30 p.m.
