Local NewsThe Marshall County Drainage Board will hold their first meeting of the new year on Tuesday, January 16th at 8:30 a.m. due to the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday on Monday.

Their agenda include reorganization of the board with the selection of officers for 2018, appointment of the Citizen Board members along with the board attorney and recording secretary.  The drainage board will also make appointments to joint drainage boards.

The Drainage Board will open maintenance bids for the Mattingly Ditch, continue with the discussion of the Lake of the Woods lake level issue and Surveyor Craig Cultice will report on the 2B Road drain in German Township.  They will consider a petition for reconstruction for the Milner Tile arm, approve the December meeting minutes and sign maintenance contracts.

The meeting is open to the public and comments and questions are welcome.
