Chargers stay unbeaten
CHICAGO, IL – The Ancilla men’s basketball team won in a close contest against the Kennedy-King Statesmen last night, 77-75.
Sophomore DK Fox was the leading scorer for the night with 15 points. Ty’Sean Sheppard (Fr.) was right behind him with 14. Sophomore Jair Rodgers added 11 points for the Chargers. Tyler Chisom (Fr.) came through with 10 points.
The score at halftime was tight, with Ancilla holding a 41-39 lead.
“Kennedy King is a well-coached team, and they have some really nice players,” said Ancilla coach Aaron Butcher. “We knew going in it was going to be a fight and it certainly was that. This group is still growing, and picking up our second road win in four Days is big for us.”
The Ancilla men will play again at home on Nov. 21 at 8 p.m.
