With Veterans’ Day fast approaching, the Marshall County Blueberry Festival is proud to announce the model of the USS Indiana SSN 789 Nuclear Submarine will be making a brief stop in Plymouth on Thursday, November 9th.
A meet and greet will take place on Thursday morning, November 9th from 8:00 am to 9:00 am on the eastside of the Court House, near the Veterans’ Memorial. The public as well as all Veterans are invited to stop by and visit with the Crew members and see the 30ft model. The USS Indiana is the 16th Virginia Class nuclear submarine and the fourth U.S. Navy ship to be named USS Indiana. The last Ship named Indiana sailed 70 years ago during WWII. This Ship named after the Great State of Indiana will represent all Hoosiers all over the world.
The USS Indiana model was scheduled to make an appearance at the Marshall County Blueberry Festival, but was unable to be present due to unforeseen circumstances. The Festival is very proud to have this opportunity to share the model and Crew members with the public to honor not only the State of Indiana, but all Veterans.
