Staff members of Miller’s Assisted Living in Plymouth wereinvited to take part in a pumpkin decorating contest. The Activity Department provided small, 6-8 inch pumpkins so that all contestants started on a level playing field. The contestants took their pumpkins home and could use any art form for decoration. A total of eleven staff members took part in the contest. Residents, staff and guests were invited to vote for their favorite pumpkin. Prizes were awarded to the top 3 receiving the most votes.
Miller’s Assisted Living PCA Marilyn Mikel (center) received 1st place for her “ghost crows and eggs in a nest”pumpkin. Mary Stites, Assistant Chef placed second with a “Spanish Senorita” pumpkin. And Marketing Director Anna Corbett placed 3rd with a “Tin Man” pumpkin from the Wizard of Oz.
