Dirt work continues on the River Gate South apartment complex on the downtown’s south side continues to move along slowly.

Currently the developer is finalizing the storm water and drainage plans before permits can be pulled for the project that includes three three-story buildings with 39 total apartments on the south side of the Yellow River.

City Attorney Sean Surrisi said, “They anticipate construction to being by mid November.”  The developer is trying to get their foundation permit prior to completing the storm water and drainage paperwork so they can get the project moving.   The Building permit isn’t issued until the storm water and drainage permits have been issued or they pay a financial guarantee for the storm water work.  Surrisi said the issue should be worked out in the next couple of days.
