Join local preservationists, Kurt Garner and R.T. Henke on Friday, September 8 from noon – 1 PM at the Marshall County Museum for, “Shiver Me Timbers: An Historic Barn Revival.” This dynamic duo hopes to raise awareness and stress the importance of photographing and documenting barns to preserve and protect the character of these aging pieces of our rural history. They will also discuss how historic barn owners can obtain a tax deduction and why there is a need to “picture our barns before they’re gone!” The Marshall County Museum is located at 123 North Michigan Street in downtown Plymouth.
