Whitt Arrested following Vehicle and Foot Pursuit

Police_PursuitOn Monday, July 31st, just before 11 in the morning, Plymouth Police Officer John Weir observed 46 year old Johnny Paul Whitt Jr. riding on his motorcycle in town.  Knowing there was an active warrant for Mr. Whitt, Officer Weir attempted to stop the vehicle and he immediately fled.  He drove his motorcycle through the Skylane Apartments, through several yards and crashed into a pole.  Whitt then took off on foot and was apprehended by Officer Weir in the Burger King parking lot.

During a search, officers located 20 grams of crystal meth, marijuana and approximately $400 in cash.

Johnny Whitt Jr. was arrested for the active warrant and for Driving While Suspended with No Motorcycle Endorsement.  Additional charges may be coming from the Prosecutor’s Office.

Plymouth Police were assisted by Marshall County Police in the confiscation of the suspected methamphetamines and marijuana.
