owi-arrest81 year old James W. Beldon of Plymouth was arrested on Monday evening about 6 p.m. by Plymouth Police.

City units were dispatched to a property damage accident at Center and Jefferson Streets.  During the investigation it was found that he was operating a vehicle while intoxicated.  He was transported to St Josephs Regional Medical Center for a certified test and tested over three times the legal limit.

James Beldon was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for operating while intoxicated and operating a vehicle while endangering a person.  His bail was set at $1,500 and he was given a court date of September 12th in Superior Court.

A short time later, Officer Krynock was dispatched to an accident just west of King Gyros where a vehicle struck a pole.   During the investigation, it was discovered that the driver of the vehicle, 26 year old Robert Lee Warner Jr. of Plymouth was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Warner was transported to the SJRMC ER for a chemical test and then lodged at the Marshall County Jail.  He was held on a $1,500 cash bond and given a court date of September 26th.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
