Public Alert_CulverThe Town of Culver has partnered with Public Alert to provide up-to-date town information and alerts via text, e-mail, or phone messages.

“While we previously had the capability to send out text alerts, we were only able to reach a small segment of residents. Many residents may not have text messaging, e-mail, or even Facebook available to them so they miss important information that may impact their day,” said Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim.

Alerts will be used to communicate utility issues, road closures, and other information that may be important to residents. One thing Public Alert will not communicate is weather alerts. Heim asked that residents find other sources for those updates.

To sign up for alerts, Culver residents should fill out the back of their September utility bill and return it with their payment.   Residents can go to www.public-alert.com/app, click on “Email Form” for Residential Info and complete the required information. Residents will need their utility account number. For those who don’t live in town but would still like to receive alerts, use 000000 as the account number.

Residents are asked to contact the Culver Town Hall at 574.842.3140 with any questions they might have when signing up for the service.
