MugShot_Roberto CruzOn Friday, August 18, the Marshall County Sheriff`s Department obtained a 911-emergency call in reference to a possible impaired or sleepy driver traveling westbound on US 30. 

Officer Les McFarland located the vehicle in question and made a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of US 30 and Michigan Road.  During the traffic stop, it was found that the driver, 27 year old Roberto Cruz of South Bend was driving the vehicle without ever having received a driver license.  The vehicle was impounded and Cruz was arrested for Operator Never Licensed and placed in the Marshall County Jail.  The bond for Roberto Cruz is $250.00.
A case report will be completed and forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor`s office for review.
