Bremen_Police_black SUVBremen Police arrested two people Friday evening following traffic stops.

At 7:28 Officer Trent Stouder stopped a vehicle at US 6 and State Road 106 West.  The driver, 45 year old Patrick A. Tripp of Argos was lodged in the Marshall County Jail for Driving While Suspended with a prior and Possession of Marijuana. His cash bond was set at $750 and paid at 11 p.m.  Mr. Tripp was released with an August 29th court date in Marshall Superior Court II.

A short time later, about 8:30 Officer Stouder arrested 37 year old Justin W. Yettaw of Bremen at 2C and Lilac Road.  Mr. Yettaw was taken into custody for a Failure to Appear warrant and held with no bond.  He was also charged with Possession of Marijuana with a $1,000 cash bond.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
