car-pedestrian-accidentPlymouth Police investigated two pedestrians being struck early Saturday morning just after midnight.

According to the news release, 21 year old Virginia Owens of Plymouth and 24 year old Akashdeep Singh with an unknown address were crossing Michigan Street westbound on foot when they were struck by a southbound vehicle.

The pedestrians were transported by ambulance for non life threatening injuries to Saint Joseph Health Systems in Plymouth.

The driver, 42 year old Franxesca Dilone of Plymouth reported to police that she had a green traffic signal.

Plymouth Police Officer Paul Stamper said the pedestrians had a vague recollection of the accident, which did not include the indication of the crosswalk light.
