Bourbon policeA traffic stop by Bourbon Police Officer Matt Geiger Wednesday morning landed a Fort Wayne man in the Marshall County Jail.

About 12:30 in the morning Officer Geiger stopped a silver Honda on US 30 at Elm Road for a traffic violation.  During the investigation it was discovered that the driver, Roni Eduardo Calix had never received a license.  The officer also found that Calix had been drinking and smoking marijuana.

Mr. Calix submitted to a field sobriety test and tested position for marijuana in his system.  He was booked into the County Jail for Operating a Vehicle Without Receiving a License and Operating on a Controlled Substance.

A cash bond was set at $1,500 and a July 18th court date was scheduled for Marshall Superior Court II.
