Driving Without a licensePlymouth Police arrested two individuals for operating a vehicle without ever receiving a driver’s license on July 1st.

About 4:20 in the afternoon Officer Ben McIntyre observed 21 year old Cody Lindemeyer of Plymouth operating a vehicle near Center and Monroe Streets.  Having prior knowledge that Mr. Lindemeyer did not have license a traffic stop was conducted.  Lindermyer was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on a $250 cash bond.

About 9:45 on July 1st. Officer Shanna Gilmer stopped 21 year old Brandon S Martinez of Fort Wayne for an infraction violation on US 30 east of Oak Drive.  Mr. Martinez was found to be operating a vehicle without a driver’s license and driving while suspended with a prior charge.  He was transported to the Marshall County Jail, given an August 8th court date in Marshall Superior Court II and held on a $750 cash bond.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
