This week the Plymouth Common Council approved a contract with professional consulting management company, Waggoner, Irwin, Scheele & Associates.
The company will conduct a job and compensation study of city employees and provide a comprehensive report for the council to review. The request for this information came from Councilman Jeff Houin several months ago and then when the committee appointed to review compensation for full-time employees at the Fire Department completed their report they suggested a comparison report for the Police department.
The study will take six to eight months to complete at a cost of $22,640 to $24,480.
