trafficLight_Michigan&Oakhill_1Three of the four companies Plymouth Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson sought quotes from for a new roof on the filter building at the Ledyard Plant submitted offers.

Monday night during the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting those quotes were opened.   Metal Building Maintenance of Walkerton offered a quote of $107,562 and per unit price for decking of $23.50;  Bradley Maintenance Services out of Rochester quoted $113,700 and a per unit price of $30 while Morris & Son’s Roofing out of Bourbon quoted $95,922 and a unit price of $20.

Superintendent Davidson asked to take the quotes under advisement for review.   He will present his recommendation at the city meeting in two weeks.

The Board of Works and Safety affirmed the mayor’s award of the bid for the traffic light signal at Michigan and Oak Hill and Soice Streets.  Low bidder was Michiana Contracting of Plymouth with a bid of 4261,930.52.  Wanting to keep the project moving forward, after reviewing the bids two weeks ago, the mayor was asked to award the low bidder, Michiana Contracting so materials needed for the project could be ordered to keep this time sensitive project moving.
