Habitat_Bourbon #18This Sunday the public is invited to Habitat for Humanity of Marshall County’s dedication of the eighteenth home they’ve built in Marshall County.  The new home is located at 304 North Maplewood Avenue in Bourbon.

Aly Byrd is the home owners and she and her children are excited to move into their new home.  Volunteers started construction of this home in April of this year.

This is the second home Harmony Marketing Group, Inc. of Bourbon has been the major sponsor of.  Tim Harmon, President of Harmony Marketing Group believes in the mission of Habitat and the concept of helping families become homeowners. Mr. Harmon said, “Habitat allows families a safe and warm home that provides a true hand up and not a hand-out.”

Habitat families must make a personal commitment to help build their home giving them a real sense of ownership.

A new sponsor for Habitat for Humanity this year is Nicorr, Inc. of Bourbon. Jerry Faulkner, President is please to be a part of the Habitat for Humanity program and what it means to a family to be able to have a safe and affordable home. Their generous donation provided a pre engineered metal roof that will provide a lasting roof system for many years.

The dedication of the 18th Habitat Home in Marshall County is Sunday at 2 pm at the home site on Maplewood Ave. The public is invited.
