For the past three years, Marshall County Tourism (MCCVB) has allocated $25,000 in funding for the marketing, development, and hosting of events exhibiting positive tourism potential to Marshall County. These funds are to assist qualified organizations with the promotion of tourism activities striving to directly increase hotel/motel occupancy and create positive image building publicity for Marshall County.
For 2017, Marshall County Tourism is increasing its allocated amount to $30,000 to assist more organizations throughout the county. The goal of the grant program is to help fund promotion of tourism projects that positively impact Marshall County’s economy, specifically those which have broad appeal in attracting visitors to the area.
The grants can be used for such things as advertising, printing and promotional expenses that bring visitors to Marshall County and encourage overnight stays. The funds can also be used by municipalities and non-profit organizations to develop brochures, websites and other tools that encourage visitation.
Deadline for applications is January 13, 2017. 2017 grant application and guidelines are available at Marshall County Tourism at 201 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563.
