County News_logoSeveral personnel committee recommendations were approved by the Marshall County Council this week.

Building and Grounds asked for and was approved for an additional custodian in the 2017 budget while the job description for a new full time position in Community Corrections was approved as was the pay range of $19 to $23 hourly for the Pre-Trial Quality Assurance Coordinator.  Community Corrections was also approved for a new part-time Substance Abuse Interventionist at a pay rate of $24.24 hourly.

The County Council also approved the recommendation of the personnel committee to approve the new job description for the building commissioner.  It was noted the expanded duties with permitting lead to the change.

The final recommendation was in the Sheriff’s Department.  Three Turnkey/Dispatchers will be moved into a new position as sergeants. The council approved the job description and rate.   Creating the new position includes additional responsibilities and a slight pay raise from $19.17 an hour to $19.70 per hour.   The sheriff has been working on this since October 2015.
