The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety approved the request of Discover Plymouth to close Michigan Street in the downtown area on Saturday, July 30th.
Discover Plymouth will host a Tractor Show and BBQ Contest and will close North Michigan from LaPorte Street to Washington Street for the event from 7:30 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon.
Councilman Jeff Houin had some concern if any of the antique tractors had steel wheels that may cause damage to the asphalt. His concern will be directed to the Discover Plymouth Committee hosting the event. It was also stipulated they need to seek state approval to close Michigan Street as well.
