Marshall_County Museum

The Marshall County Museum is currently reworking the children’s area on the main floor of the museum. A new theme for the area will feature the importance of agriculture with a farm to table design. Working with the Weidner School of Inquire at Plymouth High School, students interviewed long-time families involved in farming and will have video of the interviews. The museum has also partnered with Farm Bureau on the project.

The children’s area will feature a vegetable garden that children can pick and harvest, a chicken coop where chickens will lay eggs, and a farmer’s market complete with a produce stand, scale, display baskets, flower stand and cash register.

The museum is seeking donations for the completion of the children’s area this fall. Currently they have raised about $2,000 of the $4,000 needed.  They are also looking for the padded side-rail from waterbeds for the planting garden.
