Bourbon Farmers MarketThe farmers’ market season is fast approaching, and the Bourbon Farmers’ Market wants to get information out to prospective vendors for the 2016 season.

The Bourbon Farmers’ Market is always looking for new vendors to help them grow the market. They encourage anyone with even the slightest interest to give the market a try! There is no major commitment involved, as they operate on a week-to-week basis, with a weekly booth fee of $5.00.

The Farmers’ Market in Bourbon will be opening for the 2016 season on the first Saturday of June, the 4th.  The market operates from 8:00 AM till noon at the corner of West Center and 3rd Street, or as the Bourbonites so nostalgically refer to it, the old Dairy Queen parking lot.   They plan to run through the last Saturday of September, weather permitting.

Market Director, Megan Semonis said, “We have had quite an array of vendors participate in the past, so please don’t think there is not a place for you if you’re not the typical “farmer” with homegrown produce. We love all kinds of homemade goods, including crafts, baked goods, repurposed items, woodwork, art, and likely anything else you can dream up! We are also looking for food vendors offering breakfast or lunch items that are ready-to-eat!”

If you would like additional information, contact Semonis at 574-952-0133, or by email at mjsemonis@gmail.com.  Each vendor is required to receive a copy of the Bourbon Farmers’ Market participation agreement and complete a vendor application, which can be mailed or emailed upon request.
