Charles SneadA caucus was held Tuesday evening at Republican  headquarters in Plymouth to fill a vacancy on the Argos Town Council.

Craig Ellis who was elected in November to the position recently resigned his position on the Argos Town Council because he moved out of the town limits.

Since he is a Republican, the Walnut Township precinct representative and Vice-Chairman of the Republican Committee, Deb VanDeMark handled the caucus.

The only citizen who submitted their Declaration of Candidacy was Charles Snead.  Without any hesitation the caucus approved Snead to fill the vacant seat on Argos Town Council.  His term will expire the end of December 2019.

Mr. Snead is retired from the military and from being self employed.  He’s lived in Argos since 1970 and had always wanted to get involved but never had the time.  Charles said, “This is a way to help the community and the timing was right.”
