The Lincoln Junior High 8th grade boys basketball A team traveled to Ben Franklin Middle School in Valparaiso on Saturday for a 4-team tourney. Lincoln faced Grimmer to start the day.  After giving up 13 points in the first quarter, the Red Storm only gave up 7 points to the Gladiators the rest of the game. Adam Hunter led the balanced scoring attack with 9 points in a 37-20 win for Plymouth.

Lincoln then squared off with a tough Ben Franklin squad.  The Vikings high pressure defense forced 16 turnovers in a 46-23 rout of the Red Storm. Tollman Mills scored 10 points on 4-4 shooting from the floor and 2-3 from the free throw line.  Lincoln is now 6-5 and will play at home on Tuesday and Thursday this upcoming week.

 

The Lincoln Red Storm traveled to Valparaiso for an A Team tournament on Saturday and came away with a split.  In the first game, the Red Storm pulled out a tough game against the Grimmer Gladiators by a score of 35-27.  Lincoln was led by Jake Reichard with 15 points and Daniel Bacon with 13 points.  Lincoln was undersized and overmatched against a very good Benjamin Franklin Vikings team in the Championship game.  The Red Storm lost that game 51-22.  Jake Reichard led Lincoln with 12 points.  Coming out of the tournament, Lincoln will take a 9-2 record into next week’s games.
