DONALDSON, IN – The Ancilla basketball team defeated Don Bosco Prep Saturday afternoon, in a tough match up, winning 83-72.

 

In a game filled with back and forth action from the beginning, the Chargers took control of the ball early and fought hard to pull a 41-28 gap heading into halftime. Andrew Jones was the top scorer for Ancilla with 15 points with help from teammates Travon Brackett and Alex Henn who each added 13. Everett Norman pulled down seven rebounds and Tre’Shon Heard added five assists to the Charger stats.

 

Ancilla head coach Aaron Butcher commented on their win, “I was very proud of the way our guys competed today. Don Bosco is an extremely talented team with several kids who will be playing Division 1 basketball next year. We were locked in from the beginning and the guys did a great job executing the game plan.”

 

The team will play home on Tuesday where they will face off against Prairie State college at 7:30p.m. Ancilla will also play home Thursday in a game against Trine University JV, scheduled for 7:30p.m. as well.
