The Lincoln Junior High 8th grade boys basketball team traveled to Wawasee on a Monday, November 23rd and came away with a 22-21 victory in the A game. Joe Styers scored 10 points and Thomas Dolan pitched in 6 points in the nail biter. The A team is now 3-2 and will play Urey on Tuesday.
The Lincoln 8th grade B team also came home with a victory on Monday night. Dylan Gamble scored 14 points as the be team won by a score of 32-24. They are now 1-1 on the year and will also play Urey on Tuesday.
The Lincoln 7th grade Red Storm A team welcomed the Wawasee Warriors to their gym on Monday night and promptly sent them home with a loss. The Red Storm overcame a sluggish first quarter offensively to defeat the Warriors 35-24. Leading the way for Lincoln were Jake Reichard and Collin Mills with 10 points each. Daniel Bacon added 7 points to help the cause and push the team’s record to 4-1.
The Lincoln 7th grade B team suffered their first defeat at the hands of the Warriors from Wawasee by a score of 30-20. The Red Storm led throughout the first 3 quarters before the Warriors exploded for 19 points in the 4th quarter, erasing a 5-point deficit and turning it into a 10-point win. Lincoln was led by Grady Meadors with 10 points and now have a record of 1-1.
