BERRIEN SPRINGS, MI – The Ancilla women’s basketball team traveled to Berrien Springs, MI on Thursday night to play against Andrews University where they were able to bring home an 86-36 victory and move their record to 5-1.

 

Charger freshman, Alexsis Miller, led all scoring for the night with 19 points. Sophomore Khadijah Moore pulled a double-double for the game adding 18 points and 10 rebounds for Ancilla and Ashley Quezaire and Bianca Maxwell also contributed 11 and 10 points respectively. Maxwell (9), Irena James (8) and Marissa Stephens (7) pulled down a combined 24 rebounds and Maxwell led the team in assists with five.

 

“I was very proud of the way we finished the game,” said head coach Tom Robbins. “We had a big lead at half time, but still came out in the third quarter ready to compete. We haven’t always done that this season.”

 

The Lady Chargers will play home Saturday against Harper College. Tip-off is set for 1:00p.m.
