October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Plymouth LP Gas presented a check during their customer appreciation day on Wednesday.
For the second year in a row, on Fridays during the summer months Plymouth LP Gas allowed customers to fill a 20 pound tank for $10 with an additional donation made to Ounce of Prevention. Customers raised $1,500 during the summer grilling months and Plymouth LP Gas doubled the donation to $3,000.
Debbie Buchtel and Jack Holm made the presentation in front of their new deliver truck named the Goddess of Propane.
Buchtel said five years ago Louise Holm passed away from lung cancer and they decided to do this benefit for Ounce of Prevention in her honor and also wanting to do something for the community.
Their customer appreciation day event was very pink including the two pink delivery trucks, the Plymouth Fire Department’s Pink Fire Truck and lots of pink inside the business that’s family owned and been in the community since 1954.
