Plymouth_Airport_buildingThe Plymouth Board of Aviation Commissioners met Tuesday night at the Plymouth Airport.  The meeting followed the ribbon cutting for the new runway project.

Despite the completion, a few bills and issues remain however the project was completed for more than $200,000 under the budgeted cost.  Some of that savings may go to correct a problem that FAA inspectors found during the project.  There is a slight hill on the airport property that could cause the disapproval of the instrument approach to the airport.  They will be able to use some of the improvement to grade that slight rise down.

The board had requested that $17,000 of funds be moved between accounts to allow the purchase of a new vehicle to tow airplanes.  They received five bids for vehicles to replace their current 1958 tug, all were under the budget.  The bids were taken under advisement.
