Triton Jr.-Sr. High School will observe a special Grandparent’s Day on Friday, October 9. They will again invite grandparents to visit classes and have lunch with their grandchildren. Students will welcome their grandparents at 10 a.m. in front of the office. Triton Superintendent Donna Burroughs said, “The grandparents who have attended in previous years have expressed how much they enjoy the day and leave with very good feelings about what is happening at Triton Jr.-Sr. High School.”
Schedule for Triton Grandparents day has registration outside the office from 9:45 until 10:05. There will be a musical presentation until 10:35 and then the recognition program in the auditorium until 10:45. Lunch and classroom visits will be held from 10:45 until 12:15.

Third Graders at Triton Elementary School were proud to receive their own personal dictionaries from the Lions Clubs serving Bourbon, Etna Green, and Tippecanoe. Their mission is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding through the Lions Clubs. Each year the Lions raise money to provide various services to their communities. The Bourbon Lions club believes strongly in supporting education and wants to encourage third graders by providing them with this valuable resource. Each child keeps their dictionary in their desk to use all year long, but these books go home at the end of the year. These generous gifts will be a valuable resource to students for many years!
Members of the Lions who participated are: Allen Sharkey, Priscilla Gonzales, Jeff Klienfelter, Jesse Gonzales, and Norm Cretcher. Students pictured are: Dannon Titus, Nate Schuler, Ben McFarland, Isaiah Vaca (from front to back.)
