Most mornings you can find the Plymouth Boys soccer team starting their day at 6:30 am.   Last week they also hosted soccer camp for kids and then some nights they participate in open field but on Thursday night  they took the time out of their busy schedules to give back to military service men and women in need with the Operation Quiet Comfort program.

As Jan Houin explained to the PHS Soccer Team, Operation Quiet Comfort is a program that solely exists to honor and give comfort to those military personal sick or injured while serving their country abroad. Often sick or injured men and women arrive for medical treatment without their belongings and this is where Operation Quiet Comfort comes in.   The soccer team bagged hygiene and grooming products, made stationary packs with items in it to help entertain the troops while they recuperate.

The team even had time at the end of the evening to write a few thank you notes to the troops. All items were then put in a back- pack called a “Go Bag”. By the end of the night they had 19 large boxes to be shipped off to military men and women.

The team had a great time helping a great cause and are looking at others ways to help the Quiet Comfort program.
